Adiantum peruvianum
Tender to semi-tender
An attractive larger fronded Adiantum with black stems and pink new growth maturing to green. A good houseplant, needs gentle heat in winter. I have found it can tolerate a short period of freezing temperatures but it will lose its fronds which can take a while to reemerge.
Keep compost moist but do not overwater. If it does dry out it will usually recover if watered quickly. They prefer a humid atmosphere so putting on a tray of water with pebbles to stop the pot being in contact with the water helps enormously.
