Evergreen, eventual height to 70cm.
Very hardy (USDA zone 3).
An attractive large fern, the fronds have a softer feeling than the similar P. aculeatum. It is adaptable to most garden environments, preferring damp shady spots. It is a cosmopolitan species found throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
