Agapanthus (sun loving)

A lovely genus of rhizomatous plants, some evergreen, native to southern Africa. The common name is Nile Lilly, though they don't originate from the Nile area, nor are they Lillies! The name Agapanthus comes from the Greek, translated as 'Love Flower', quite apt for this gorgeous plant.
This plant needs full sun and, in our climate, well drained soil. Flowers come in a range of blues, purples and white.
