Evergreen, height to 30cm.
A beautiful species from western Sichuan Province, China. Exquisite pale-yellow flowers through spring and early summer.
Young leaves have coppery tints maturing to green which persist well through the winter.
Prefers a moist, well drained spot in shade. Not fussy about soil type, it will grow in alkaline and acid soils.
