Many people have asked me for young plug plants for stone walls and small pockets etc so due to popular demand here is a selection of plug plants that are suitable for growing in green living walls, stone walls and vertical gardens!
They are all tough, very hardy, reliable even with restricted root space and look great all year around! They will of course need watering and a regular feed but once established they are drought tolerant, as long as they are not allowed to dry out completely. Water retaining granules, as used in hanging baskets, are ideal for those units that need manual watering.
There will 4 different varieties of ferns (4 x 3), strictly our choice, but all will look great as they fill in and develop. The image shows them at maturity.
As the plugs supplied are small plants they will take time to fill in to their space, so ideal for those with patience! So if you are looking for a more instant impact then the 9cm plants for living walls would be a better choice.
