Evergreen, height to 30cm.
Striking variety collected by Darrel Probst in 2008 in Sichuan Province, China. The leaves are long, narrow and edged with spiny edges. Chocolate-bronze colour in spring, maturing to green which persists well through the winter. Flowers are lemon-yellow and quite large by Epimedium standards.
Prefers a moist, fertile well drained soil, in shade.
