A hardy perennial in all but the coldest areas. Perfect for woodland gardens, it prefers a rich, moisture retentive soil. Does not like drying out or sitting in waterlogged soil , plant bulbs about 8-10cm deep and they should need no further care. Mulch each autumn with leaf mould for excellent results.
It has a tall, green spathe with an elongated upward pointing cadex. It grows about 60-80 cm high. In a word...spectacular!
