Oh my word! This is a big fellow.....very big! In good conditions (fertile , moisture retentive soil in partial shade) it can grow 120cm high (four foot in old money) and 250cm wide (over 8 foot) with plentiful water.
The leaves themselves are about 40cm x 45cm, green and thick, which has the added benefit of discouraging slugs. The flowers are light lavender in colour and bloom throughout summer.
Easy to grow and perfect for the large patch screaming out for a large hosta. Superb fpr those looking for a tropical look, mixes well with large ferns and other large leafed plants.
