Evergreen, height to 60cm.
This is a closely related species to Polystichum tsus-simense with pointed glossy dark green fronds. It is however much larger and is occasionally known as the Giant Korean Rock Fern.
It is as good in flower arranging as it is in the garden, the long-lived fronds work well. An excellent fern to grow amongst light-green plants such as hosta's.
Grows well in shade and a rich, well drained soil. Hardy in zones 6-9.
