A variety of the native plant deserving of a place in any garden with its gold foliage when young maturing to chartreuse-green . Very tough and ideally suited to a partially shaded spot. Not fussy about soil, will grow in heavy clay soils. Purple tinged pale green flowers from January to April. The finely divided leaves give an unpleasant odour when crushed but don't let that put you off. It grows to about 70cm tall and is fabulous with ferns, enjoying much the same conditions as most of the ferns we grow.
