This is a very unusual fern which is of borderline hardiness in the warmer parts of the country. It will be at it's best indoors, in a container or as an eye catching indoor hanging basket (put outside when weather warms up!
It spreads by using the hairy rhizomes, eventually forming a dense colony. The hairy rhizomes cover the surface giving a very eerie feel!
