A beautiful native of eastern Norh America with almost tubular violet blue flowers. You can see from the flower colour and post bloom how this is closely related to Borage! It grows about 40=50cm tall
It is very easy to grow in shade or semi shade, preferring moist soil but it will grow in most spots. A useful pllinator for early butterflies such as those emerging from hibernation.
