Forgive the following more technical description, but it is interesting, and shouldn't overshadow that fact that this is my favourite of the Hellebores. A delight for those of us that like green flowers!
Helleborus x hybridus are wonderful hybrids (the 'x hybridus are artificial crosses of Helleborus other than that that do not involve the species Helleborus argutifolius, Helleborus lividus and Helleborus foetidus.Usually they will be crosses of H. orientalis.for the garden with welcome flowers from January to April. Once you see them you know spring is nearly sprung! This variety from the 'Double Ellen' series has lime-green cup shaped double flowers . Looks fabulous with ferns that enjoy the same partial shaded spots.
